Just had a little fun with YouTube. Played three videos simultaneously on my laptop. Lucky me, I label my past YouTube videos on my blogs. I like going back through that subject matter from time to time. Started with this:... more

 | Earthquake swarms in Puerto Rico this week. |
 | Have a great week, Stonie... |
 | You have no idea Carol. My sis-in-law has been honeymooning in Fiji. My MIL got many phone calls from the groom's mom trying to figure out how and when they were flying out, if airports were closed, if they were affected by a tsunami, etc. etc. Even my MIL was watching the USGS website all day. The newlyweds, of course, were fine. But whew! |
 | I can't believe you missed the latest earthquakes... |
 | Unfortunately, by the time I saw the day without cats - I'd already opened my Icanhazcheezeburger email for the day, lol. |
 | Thank you for your comment on my work and have a great weekend! |

 | you missed a earthshaker in the Bay area today :) |
 | An Alaskan weighing in here. Being the mayor of Wasilla may qualify a person to be governor of Alaska--and only if they are running as an outsider. In no way is Sarah qualified to be President of the United States--and isn't that what you should look for in a Vice-President? Dave Kiffer of SitNews pretty much summed up the Northern reaction: Yes, Boys and Girls, that giant wooshing sound you heard Friday morning was indeed the sound of 650,000 Alaskans simultaneously spitting out their morning coffee.
If I may offer up a couple of links to Alaskan political blogs, there is Mudflats (featuring an actual photo safari to Wasilla--just to put things in perspective) and Progressive Alaska--I've always liked the thought of being a progressive. And then there's a quirky guy who also lives on an island, in this case,Kodiak: Ishmael Melville, aka KoKon, who has found some sort of celebrity for his now-widely-seen Photoshopped cover of Vogue magazine. He also links to some interesting blogs. Sarah was still learning how to be governor. She did some good things for the state and some not-so-good things but considering who she replaced, we were willing to give her a few years to see what happened. Your muck-ups don't affect that many people when you are just the Governor of Alaska--we were worrying more about our legislature and the corrupt bastards club. But what can be forgiven or over-looked in the governor of an unimportant state takes on a different cast when one is a heartbeat away from the Presidency. |
